Those who are looking for a dream home at affordable price in Mumbai have another golden opportunity to grab a home with the help of CIDCO. CIDCO (City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited) has announced an affordable housing scheme on August 11, 2018, for 14,838 apartments in the Navi Mumbai area. These homes are being built by the state planning agency under the Centre’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. CIDCO is the town planning and development authority. The CIDCO online registration process for this scheme started from Monday (13 August 2018).The last date for registration is 15 September 2018.

Eligibility:

People who earn an average monthly income of Rs.25,000 can apply for EWS category and whose average monthly income between Rs. 25,001 and Rs. 50,000 could apply under the LIG category.

Number of Apartments:

The CIDCO will build a total 14,838 affordable homes across Navi Mumbai, In which 5,262 units would be for the people from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category. Remaining 9,567 homes would be allotted for the applicants from the Low Income Group (LIG) category. The area for EWS category will have a carpet area of 25.81 square meters and for the LIG category will have a carpet area of 29.82 sqmt.

Location of Apartments:

These homes will be allotted in 11 locations in Navi Mumbai. These include areas such as Taloja, Kalamboli, Kharghar, Ghansoli and Dronagiri. The highest number of units will be built at Taloja.

Price Range:

While the units meant for the EWS category would cost between Rs 17-18 lakh, units meant for the LIG category would cost Rs 25-26 lakh.

Possession:

The Cidco expects to start giving possession of these units by next year.

This is the first time, CIDCO will conduct the entire process online. You have to log on to CIDCO Lottery 2018 and fill the online form and make the payment.
