Jodhpur -The Blue City of India, is second largest and second metropolitian city located in Rajasthan, India. The city historically is known to be the capital of kingdom Marwar. Jodhpur has a metro area of 624.5 sq.km along with the population of about 1,435,000 and literacy rate of 79.38% . The city has hot and semi-arid climate throughout the year but has brief rainy season. Jodhpur is located about 250 km way from India-Pakistan border, which makes the base for Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Border Security Force.
